The customer booking journey

Understand the four stages customers follow to arrange an appointment.
Choose a service
Customers begin by selecting the service they want. Use recognizable names and descriptions so they can distinguish a consultation from a longer appointment.
Choose staff
The customer chooses an available staff member for the service. Correct service assignments and staff availability are essential to the times shown.
Choose a date and time
The booking calendar presents the available booking choices. Test the result against working hours, holidays, service duration and any configured buffers or calendar connections.
Enter details and confirm
The customer provides the requested information and completes the booking flow, including any configured payment step. Review the resulting appointment rather than assuming every submitted booking has the same status.
Validate the mobile experience
Try the complete journey on a phone. Keep field labels concise and make service, time and payment expectations easy to understand.
See the test-booking checklist and Custom Fields.
Before testing the booking journey
Have a service, an assigned staff member and working hours ready. Use a clearly named test customer so you can identify the resulting appointment.
If the booking cannot be completed
Note the step where the process stops. Check the selected service, staff availability and date, then review the visible error before trying again. Confirm whether an appointment record already exists to avoid creating a duplicate.
